Virtual Parent Education Opportunities

Join us from your home!

Throughout the month of June, we will be offering virtual parent education sessions with our Ready Rosie curriculum!

When: Tuesdays from 3-4pm

Where: Wherever works for you!

How: A zoom link will be provided for you to click on to join the meeting.

June 2nd “Ready for Kindergarten!”

During our time together, we will:

  • Explore what it means to be “ready” for school and fun ways to support those skills at home.
  • Discover what children in kindergarten learn at the start of the year, the middle of the year,
    and by the end of the year.
  • Learn to play powerful learning games and activities that build the skills needed to be ready for kindergarten.
  • Plan for family routines that support strong health and habits.

June 9th “Ready for Pre-K!”

During this one-hour workshop, you’ll get:

  • Explore preschool readiness skills and fun ways to support those skills at home.
  • Discover what a typical preschool day looks like and how centers and group learning work.
  • Gain strategies for working on developmentally appropriate self-care skills, growing concentration muscles, following directions, and building foundational social emotional skills.
  • Collaborate with other parents on preparing for preschool, how to handle separation and anxiety, and establishing family routines.
  • Explore powerful learning games and activities that build the skills needed to be ready for school.

June 16th “Words Matter!”

During this one-hour workshop, you’ll get:

  • An understanding of what “literacy-rich” means and what it could look like in your home.
  • Games to help grow the conversations your family has together.
  • Fun ideas for how to “play with” and share books.
  • Strategies to help develop storytelling and reading routines at home.

June 23rd “ Math Matters!”

During this one-hour workshop, you’ll get:

  • A real understanding of what “math-rich” means and what it might look like in your home.
  • Practical, everyday activities that can be used to encourage “math talk.”
  • Fun math games that can be played at home, waiting in line, or while running errands.
  • Ideas for how to connect math and literacy through picture books, talk, and writing.

June 30th “Relationships Matter!”

During this one-hour workshop, you’ll get:

  • Helpful ideas and activities to strengthen your family relationships.
  • Important clues to recognize and handle challenging behaviors.
  • Ideas to encourage positive behaviors.
  • Access to great games and activities that build connection and learning.
