Early Education Services Response to COVID-19

March 24th, 2020 COVID-19 Update:

While CAAC Early Education Services will continue to connect with families and children each week, we will now be partnering with Agency programs to assist in distributing commodity foods. EES in partnership with Help Me Grow Allegan will be distributing attachments associated to emergency childcare.

Please visit the Community Action of Allegan County YouTube Page to see some of our teachers and team members offering several read aloud options for all families to enjoy. We miss you and while we can’t see you, you can now see us.

As of March 16th, 2020 Community Action’s Early Education Services will be doing the following in response to COVID-19. Please note, as the situation evolves our plan may do so as well. We will keep this page updated.

  • Early Head Start and Head Start will be reaching out to connect with families each week to offer individualized activities and resources. We are happy to drop them off at your home. Please watch REMIND and be sure to answer calls as they come through as our team would like to assist in any way during the current mandated shutdown.
  • Early Education Services programming is currently suspended, but our team is still working! We are here if you need us. Please know, we are working in a rotational capacity and families can expect to be contacted by the Head Start and Early Head Start team members.
