Lisa Evans joined Community Action of Allegan County, as Executive Director in October 2013 with over 22 years’ experience in non-profit and public service administration. Lisa’s has specific expertise in the areas of strategic planning, political and nonprofit fund development, community relations, and event management. Prior to joining Community Action, Lisa was the Executive Director of the Ronald McDonald House of Western Michigan from 2007 to 2012. Previous to her time with the Ronald McDonald House, Lisa was Owner and Managing Partner of Fletcher Evans & Associates, LLC specializing in political and nonprofit fund raising. Before starting this business, Lisa worked as Finance Director for the Michigan House Republican Campaign Committee. Lisa served as State Coordinator for the National Council of State Governments, Chairperson of the Michigan Youth & Government Public Relations Committee, and was a member of the Michigan American Red Cross Government Relations and State Communication Committees. Prior to working in the political arena, Lisa was the Executive Director of the Gratiot County American Red Cross in Alma, Michigan. Lisa has a broad understanding and appreciation for the challenges facing low-income children and families. Inspired by her work with members of our state’s Health Policy Committee(s), the Michigan Medical Coalition, her experience at the Ronald McDonald House and the American Red Cross she continues her passion for public service. As Executive Director of Community Action of Allegan, Lisa applies her experience in support and advocacy for individuals, families and children in poverty. Lisa serves on the Executive Committee of the Allegan County Multi-Area Collaborative Council, the Area Agency on Aging of Western Michigan Advocacy Committee, and is a member of Legislative Committee of the Michigan Community Action Association. She enjoys golf, fishing, painting and travel.

Brenda Molendyk

Brenda Molendyk serves as the Chief Financial Officer for Community Action of Allegan County. Brenda brings more than twenty years of experience in both the private and public sectors.

Brenda spent 11 years serving as an Accountant and Finance Director in Ottawa County’s Fiscal Services Department working with Community Mental Health, MI Works! and Community Action Agency.

Brenda is also dedicated to the growth and advancement of community agencies in West Michigan. She holds double degrees with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management.

Brenda is also active with organizations dedicated to the continuing education of the accounting and finance professions and brings with her an experienced knowledge of the profession.

Sarah See

Sarah has been the Director of the Head Start Program for Community Action for over ten years. She is a seasoned director working with the local community and families. Sarah has worked in several capacities since graduating from Central Michigan University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Family Studies.

Sarah stated her Head Start career as an Education / Disabilities Specialist at FiveCAP, Inc. After spending 4 years learning about programs, a position to relocate afforded Sarah the opportunity to move to Southwest Michigan She began her Head Start career with Kalamazoo County.

Sarah began as a Center Supervisor and transitioned into the Assistant Head Start Director role, before working her way up as the Director of Head Start for Allegan County’s Community Action Agency, formerly known as ACRDC.
